Repairing Homes. Revitalizing Communities. Rebuilding Lives.
National Rebuilding Day inspires organizations and volunteers to grab their tools and get to work. Thousands of volunteers across the country gather together on this day and over the weekend to offer much-needed repairs for needy families in local localities.
CFMA Chicago Chapter is proud to partner with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago again this year to provide repairs and improvements at a home in the south suburb of Park Forest.
The volunteer work will consists of painting and minor patching throughout the home, removing clutter and planting/yard work outside, repairing window weather stripping, and repairs to the entry storm door that currently gets stuck on the front step when opening. We will also need skilled workers to assist with plumbing, specifically a sewage backup that needs rodding.
Space is limited to 15 volunteers at a time. To Volunteer, contact Daniel Cohen or Megan Ruzich.

Producing a WIP report is a known challenge for every construction team, especially the specialty trade contractor. With many moving parts - labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment - it’s no wonder it’s called an “Estimate”. In this panel session, we’ll talk with specialty trade CFP’s about the process their team embarks on. We’ll discuss subjects such as what and how data is pulled and collected, formats, tools and communications, as they relate to WIP. Many sessions discuss theoretical “how-to’s” and “best-case scenario”, not in this program. We are getting into the weeds of real life.
