Ryan Hiss is a partner and executive committee member in the law firm of Laurie & Brennan, LLP. He has been practicing law for over 25 years. Ryan focuses his national law practice on the legal issues encountered by contractors and subcontractors in the construction industry, including claims involving delays, lost productivity, change order disputes, unforeseen conditions, mechanics liens, and payment bonds. In addition, Ryan drafts, reviews and negotiates construction contracts on behalf of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on a frequent basis. Ryan regularly speaks on various construction law issues, including construction contracts, negotiating critical contract terms, delay and lost productivity claims, mechanics liens, construction disputes and other construction law topics. He has been a member of the Illinois Society of Construction Attorneys for 11 years and has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer and Illinois Leading Lawyer in construction litigation continuously over the past decade. Ryan has been a CFMA member for the last 15 years and is a two time board member for the Chicago Chapter.
