CFMA's Challenge Coin Presented to Mary Davolt, CCIFP
In 2018, then-CFMA Chairman Joe McLaughlin wanted to recognize members who do exceptional work for CFMA, but whose efforts might not be acknowledged at the Executive level. He was reminded of the military tradition of the challenge coin – a small medallion or token that signifies a person is a member of an elite group. CFMA Executive Committee members continue to give out a limited number of CFMA Chair's Challenge Coins to CFMA members who exhibit service and excellence to CFMA.

On March 11, 2026, John Moran, CCIFP, presented Chicago Chapter Past President, Mary Davolt, CCIFP, Berger Contractors, with a CFMA Challenge Coin.
John and Mary had collaborated several times about the education initiatives at CFMA and the direction CFMA is taking. Her dedication to CFMA’s educational programs has been truly impressive. That admiration grew even stronger when both Mary and Valerie presented the new educational journey being developed for CFMA members to the officers. The level of thought, time, and effort invested in this initiative, and the continued work being devoted to it, is nothing short of remarkable. It is truly a pleasure to witness Mary’s dedication to both CFMA and the construction industry.
